No, mediums and psychics are not synonymous with each other. All mediums are also psychic as they can receive and perceive information, but not all psychics are mediums.

What is a medium?
A medium is someone that can communicate with those spirits and entities that are in the spiritual realm either through channeling, They bridge the gap between the physical and spirtual worlds. A medium has the ability not only to read the energy around you or listen to the divine but to expand that gift and are actually able to reach loved ones who have passed, animals, and guides to bring to you, a sense of peace that can fill your heart with the knowing that you are never alone.

How does mediumship session work?
In a mediumship session Preistess Iyaya will sit at her ancestor shrine and call down the spirits of her clients' ancestors/friend/family member. Many times, that isn't even necessary as they just show up. Many of the spirits that have moved on are anxious to speak to their family, friends and loved ones so they have been waiting for this moment. They are ready!!

Spirits of the otherworld will begin speaking to Priestess and she will relay all of the messages they have for their loved ones, as well as allow clients to ask questions towards the end of the session. Most clients don't have many questions as they receive all insight from the loved one or from Priestess.

Priestess may exhibit mood changes or emotional changes such as crying, sorrow, joy and laughter depending on the mood of the spirit that has come.

Kontomble divination is done at Priestess's Kotomble shrine thru which the Kontomble come to communicate. They delve into various aspect of ones spiritual self, life and surroundings on a very deep level. They are more concerned with soul, light/dark spiritual existence, elevation, spiritual/soul existence, and life vs concerns for material goods. They are very soul level deep beings.

What is mediumship/necromacy and is it evil?
No it is not evil and quite normal. Mediumship is when a living person, a medium, makes a link with the spirit world, and is able to communicate with a spirit person (one who has left the body). Those that have passed on to the spiritual realm are always around us, yet many lack the ability to hear and speak to them. Mediumship and Necromancy is merely a tool used by those with the gift to "hear and see" those in the other realm ... the transformed. We don't call them dead as they are still alive just in a different form. As humans. we are but spirits within a physical body. Whenever one passes to the spiritual realm, they are going back to their natural state of existence, just without the body. Those that loved us and those we loved are still there just in a different state of existence.
Who are the ancestors and why should we honor them?
Ancestors/Egungun/Egun are family that have passed on to the spiritual realm. Egungun is the collective group of ancestors while Egun is singular (One). We honor them, not worship them because they deserve it and they will bless us for remembering and honoring them. Because they have established the way before us and continue to establish the way into the future. They walk with us each day, whether we know it or not, whether we know their names or not, they are there. They protect us, whisper guidance to us and love us beyond the grave. Many across the world in many cultures honor their ancestor, it is normal in most cultures around the world!

What type of reading that is required is based on not only what the client requests but also what is the best avenue to communicate what is needed.
What exactly is spiritual training and development?
Spiritual training and development entails learning how to align self to spirit and getting more in-tune with one's spiritual self and guides as well as developing spiritual skills relating to doing spiritual work such as blessing, cleansing, money etc. This educational encounter is offered via group session and one-on-one. Minimum 1 hour sessions. Groups sessions priced per individual and session time.
Why is a reading required prior to doing spiritual work?
Spiritual work is never done blindly as it is irresponsible and unprofessional. As an experienced spiritual professional, I must operate with due diligence to ensure every care is being taken prior to doing work to make sure the spiritual work is in complete spiritual alignment with one's destiny and desired outcome. Sometimes spirit has other things in mind. Some things are outside of ones destiny and no matter how much spiritual work is done may not manifest not only due to destiny but also due to timing, future outcomes, and promise made before birth, etc.
